| 28.09.08: Anna confirmed to support Robin Gibb in November |
Anna has been confirmed as the support act for the upcoming Robin Gibb gig at the Villa Marina.
It will be the second time Robin has performed on his hometurf in the past two years - last June, he headlined one night of the Peel Bay Music Festival as a 'homecoming' gig.
The festival, in TT Week, was held in a 10,000 capacity marquee - the UK's largest temporary structure. Other headline acts for the week included The Who, McFly, Sugababes & Madness.
Anna has been fortunate enough to play the beautiful Villa Marina Royal Hall a couple of times now - once in support of Katie Melua, and then as a headline act for several fundraiser events. It's a superb setting to witness this talented artist - one not to miss!
Proceeds for the gig, on November 18th, will go to the Island's Children's Hospice. Tickets are available from the venue's box office and website. This is Robin's last full concert of 2008, and is a rare chance to see Anna perform in this stunning venue, so be sure to get your tickets fast...

|
|
It's taken a while, but it's well worth the wait! Anna's debut album, 'Let It Rain', will be available on Stereoscout in April. The title comes from one of the stunning new songs on the album which you can hear a clip of - along with new song 'Don't Wait Up' and the new version of 'Horoscope' - on the music page.
Anna's rich, warm vocal, layered harmonies, loops & samples & beautiful ballads -along with a hint at her classical background - all go to make up a stunning, distinctive record. There are moments of rock, pop, soul and jazzy blues, and everyone is VERY proud of it...It also comes in a rather fetching digipack format, so it's nice to look at too!!
You'll be able to buy the album from stereoscout.com from Monday 14th April. |
